About White Room
White Room is an independent photo editor that runs in the browser. It is operated by delovadyincorporation.
Why it exists
Editing a photo should not mean uploading it. White Room decodes, edits and exports your photos inside your browser, so they stay on your device. You need no account and no installation, and after the first visit it also works offline.
How it works
The editor decodes JPEG and PNG files with WebAssembly builds of established open-source codecs, renders your adjustments on the graphics card with WebGL2, and keeps your work in the browser's own storage. The Licenses page lists the open-source software it uses.
Where it is now
White Room is an alpha. It already covers a whole series, from import and culling to editing and export, but some tools are missing and some details will change. Features lists what this release does and what it does not do yet.
White Room is not made by or affiliated with Adobe. It learns from how photographers already work, but it does not aim to reproduce Lightroom exactly.
