Cookies and local storage
White Room uses browser storage for different purposes. The photo editor at /editor/ keeps your photographs, edits, preferences and its offline files in your browser. The other pages of this website set no cookies, store nothing and run no scripts.
What the editor keeps in your browser
Your browser keeps all of it for this website's address, which the pages and the editor share, and it stays on your device.
| Technology | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| IndexedDB and Origin Private File System | Copies of your original photos, previews, edits, history and workspace state | Until you remove them or your browser clears the site's data |
| Cache Storage and a service worker | The editor's own files, so that it opens offline and updates safely | Until a newer release replaces them or your browser clears the site's data |
| Local storage | Interface preferences, such as panel, grid and export settings | Until your browser clears the site's data |
This storage is necessary for the editor to work: without it there is nowhere to keep your photos and edits. It never leaves your device through the editor.
Advertising and consent tools
Advertising and consent-management scripts do not run on this website or in the editor at the moment, so they set no cookies and store nothing.
Privacy settings
Advertising is turned off, so there are no advertising choices to make. Before any advertising is turned on, this section will let you accept or reject it and change your choice later, and rejecting it will never stop you from using the editor.
Clearing your data
Clearing the site data of this website in your browser removes your workspace and the editor's offline files. Back up your edits and keep your original photos first: see the backup guide.
